Consolidation Study Commission of Fanwood and Scotch Plains to meet Wed., May 22

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the current commissioners of the Consolidation Study Commission of Fanwood and Scotch Plains will meet on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Board of Education building located at Evergreen and Cedar Avenue in Scotch Plains to elect two additional commissioners, one from each municipality. All applicants must submit resumes by May 17, 2013 through the contact below. Candidates will be interviewed. The meeting is open to the public.

The Commission’s purpose is to have a study prepared to see if consolidating Scotch Plains and Fanwood would create a more efficient and cost effective government.

The 10 commissioners will elect officers, determine funding and select an organization to conduct a study at later meetings.

Consolidation Study Commission of Fanwood and Scotch Plains to meet April 11

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the current appointees to the
Consolidation Study Commission of Fanwood and Scotch Plains will meet
on Thursday April 11 at 8:00 p.m., in the Board of Education building
located at Evergreen and Cedar Avenue in Scotch Plains to discuss a
process by which the remaining two commission appointees will be chosen,
one from each municipality. Although the full commission has not yet been
determined and no appointees have been sworn in, the public is invited to
this meeting. It is expected that at this meeting a process will be agreed
upon and a date set for the selection of the remaining two commission
appointees.
